Founder
Léanne is an Occupational
Therapist with a special interest
in ECD, which led her to launching
Masikhule to encourage the
holistic development of
pre-schoolers in the community.

Karen Bufé
ECD Program Manager
Karen, a trained staff nurse with
many years of ECD experience,
facilitates a number of our training
courses and mentors numerous
Early Learning Centres. She also
coordinates our training program
and Registration Project.

Sandy Immelman
Marketing and Communications
Sandy has a B.Soc.Sci in Psychology
and many years of experience in the
advertising industry. She manages
the marketing and communication
portfolio.
Amanda Bangani
Auxiliary Social Worker
Amanda is a qualified Auxiliary
Social Worker and graduated with
NQF Level 4 (ECD) at the end of
2016. She has years of experience
interning and working at various
Community-based NGOs in the
Western Cape and is a valued addition
to our Registration Project team
Michaela Fortuin
Occupational Therapist
Michaela is an OT with a special interest
in children who require early
intervention due to developmental
and learning delays. She also provides
early intervention screening,
group therapy and mentorship.
Anne Pedersen
Training Facilitator and Mentor
Anne has experience as a secondary
school teacher, ECD Centre Principal,
Education Advisor and ECD Centre
Consultant. She is passionate about
training and empowering women
in the community and bringing
value to the children in their care.
MASIKHULE ADVISORY BOARD

Greet De Wulf
Greet De Wulf has two Master
degrees in law and served many
years as a CCMA commissioner.
Greet has been part of the Masikhule
team since 2010, training ECD
Principals on employment rights and
responsibilities. In 2014 she moved to
Belgium where she remains a fervent
ambassador for Masikhule.

Else de Jong
Else de Jong is a qualified
Junior Primary teacher with
over 30 years teaching experience.
She worked for Masikhule for
many years as ECD Facilitator
and Mentor and so brings to the
Board a wealth of knowledge,
expertise and experience.

Naomi Malebo
Naomi Malebo is the founder of
Great Beginning Preschool in
Asanda Village. She is also a
business owner, entrepreneur and
motivational speaker with a focus
on youth and women. Naomi fulfils
the role of community liaison.
